The NSW War Memorials Register will undergo essential upgrades from 3 July. If you have draft submissions ready, please submit them before 3 July.
The memorial is a rectangular metal monument, positioned on a base made of the same material. It is inscribed with a dedication to those who served in the Second World War. The inscription specifically references Victory in Europe Day, also known as VE Day, which occured on 8 May 1945. Read more about VE Day at the Australian War Memorial website.
The memorial is positioned in a garden bed in Mascot Memorial Park, where commemorative services take place. It stands on the left-hand side of the Mascot War Memorial and faces the Mascot Victory in the Pacific Memorial.
