The NSW War Memorials Register will undergo essential upgrades from 3 July. If you have draft submissions ready, please submit them before 3 July.
The memorial is a rectangular metal monument, positioned on a base made of the same material. It is inscribed with a dedication to those who served in the Second World War. The inscription specifically references Victory in the Pacific Day, also known as VP Day or Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day), which occured on 15 August 1945. Read more about VP Day at the Australian War Memorial website.
The memorial is positioned in a garden bed in Mascot Memorial Park, where commemorative services take place. It stands on the right-hand side of the Mascot War Memorial and faces the Mascot Victory in Europe Memorial.
